FYI: Groundhog Day is a part of centuries old folk lore. In Germany, Scotland, etc.and is called Candlemas Day. It was first noted in the USA in 1841 in the German town of Morgantown, Pennsylvania, but took off as an annual celebration in Puxtentany, Pennsylvnia in 1886, and it is now a huge celebration and proclamation of the groundhog's prediction based on its weather on Feb. 2 with up to 40,000 in attendance.
