My First Birthday Card for Ginger!

My daughter-in-law's birthday follows my mother's two days later.  She loves the color purple, and I had been saving this hydrangea paper to use for her birthday.  It's a funny thing with creative juices, but sometimes just the paper spurs you on.  I pulled out the saved paper, and all of a sudden, I remembered some lovely old-fashioned lace that I had purchased on my trip, and I knew just what I wanted to do.  Following is my first birthday card that I made for my lovely daughter-in-law, Ginger:
